Hi everyone,
Today thought I would do a book review about the books I have read in the last two months. About two months agoI weng and bought some new books and I really enjoyed them so I thought I would share it with you! Two of these books are for young adults, 17, 18 year olds and the other I would say is for about 13, 14 year olds.
My first book is: The perks of being a wallflower, Stephen Chevosky.
I first watched the film starring Emma Watson and Logan Lerman and it is my favourite film so I wanted to read the book. I can now say the book is one of my favourites! The main character is a teenager called Charlie who is a wallflower as doesnt really fit in. The book made ms laugh stupidly at one point and cry because it is quite sad. It covers the issues of growing up, mental health problems, friendship and belonging. I think I have read it at the right time in my life so it had the best impact on me.
The second book: Love Rosie, Cecila Ahern.
Again I knew this book had been turned into a film with Lily Collins and Sam Clafin (*cue fangirling*) and although I am yet to see it I thought the trailer looked good. This book was fanstastic, it follows the two main characters Rosie and Alex through from childhood to adults and is written through the form of emails and letters. Don't let that put you off, I usuallh don't like books written like this but it made me feel happy, sad, shocked and was very enjoyable. It covers the issues of being a teenager and being an adult, pregnancy and love.
The third book: Girl Online, Zoe Zugg (zoella)
Now I'm sure most people know who Zoella is thesedays as youtubers are becoming more and more successful and famous. Zoe Sugg a.k.a Zoella is a youtuber and blogger who is British and she's lovely, funny and I love her videos. So when her book came out I couldnt wait to read. It centers around a girl named Penny who blogs anonymously about her struggle with panic attacks and life. It is a good book for young teens and it very heartwarming. It covers the issues of panic attacks, love, bullying and being a teen.
I hope this review made you want to read or look into these books, they are all great.

Pretty Pastels
Hello Everyone,
As it is Spring and Easter is just around the corner pastels have been the main colours featuring in Fashion, Beauty and Clothing. I thought I would share some pastel colour combinations I think work well and some items that are reflecting on the pastel trend!

Some pastel combinations that are more girly are the light pink and light purple and also coral. Many people (Dame Helen Mirren) have been sporting pastel pink hair and when done right it can look gorgeous. The colours are girly and pretty and it would work well if you could incorporate these colours into you fashion or beauty looks at the moment.
Another pretty pastel colour that looks so chic is mint green! This colour is dainty and pretty and can look really elegant on jewellery, clothing, nails and in the home! Many people are adding touches of mint green to there homes and it is a really fresh and clean colour, for an example see the wallpaper with intricate white patterning. This colour looks great with white.
Thank you for reading this post, I hope it gave you a bit of inspiration and have a good Easter!

How to get the Vogue Look
Hi everyone,
So the April Vogue edition is out and I love the new cover and photoshoot with Cara Delevigne, Georgia May Jagger and Suki Waterhouse. The models and dressed in gorgeous outfits and look fresh faced and youthful.
I particularly am a Suki Waterhouse fan! She has been in the film, 'Love Rosie' which I am yet to see but loved the book and in 'Insurgent' the latest movie from the Divergent series which I am excited to watch! I think she is gorgeous and always looks naturally beautiful, not overdone. So I am going to show you ways to get Suki Waterhouse's look from the Vogue shoot.
Suki has a fresh face and that can only be achieved by a good skincare regime. It is recommend that you exfoliate your face only once a week but personally I believe that exfoliating every other day is good for my skin (but its a personal choice) so make sure you exfoliate regularly! Use products like
Boots tea tree and witch hazel charcoal face scrub, or Burts Bees Anti Blemish Scrub.
Also, you must cleanse your face daily, any typd of wash is good, it is best if it is a product with natural ingredients, try The body shop seaweed cleansing wash. As this is made from natural ingredients and shouldnt be harsh on your skin. Moisturising is important, even if you have oily skin use a moisturizer that controls oil and shine.
So that is how to get a good base to work with, your skin needs to be clean and clesr before you do your makeup. Also, as a model, Suki will know that to get clear and healthy skin you need to est healthy and drink lots of water. Recently I have started to drink more water and I can see less blemishes on my skin.
In the Vogue shoot Suki has fresh skin, as I have already explained how to get that I will tell you how to get her gorgeous makeup look!
Suki's skin looks natural, so wear a light foundation with good coverage or just a tinted moisturiser. Try Rimmel stay matte foundation, it's not cakey and looks natural. On her eyes, she has a light brown eyeshadow which gets darker towards the outer corner of her eye (blend!) and she has some black eyeliner. A good black eyeliner is Soap and Glory supercat. I love Soap and Glory and although I've not used the product myself all my friends rave about it! To finish the Suki look wear either a nude ligloss (what she wears on the cover) or a bubblegum pink lipstick (what she wears on the main shoot) the pink is bright and matches really well with her skin tone!
Her hair is messy but eleganly so, put your hair in a messy ponytail or plait or wear down and wavy to complete the look.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post, I just loved the shoot and had to post about it!

Happy International Womens Day!
Hello readers,
Today, March 8th, is International Women's Day! This makes me think of a lot of things; what is it to be a women today, the expectations of women and girls and what i can do to promote women s rights?
Back when women received the right to vote, feminism was popular among women but not men and since then people think that's all we can do and feminism has become a taboo subject. But in the past year many campaigners have spoke out to say that we still aren't equal to men. Emma Watson's campaign HeForShe has got many men also thinking about what they can do, because men are a large part of gaining equality.
Along with Emma Watson, people such as Tavi Gevinson and Lena Dunham have spoken out about women's rights. So as much as we still have a long way to go with women's rights and equality, things are looking up. So I for one am postive!
Thank you,

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Review
Hello readers,
Recently I tried Maybelline Matte Mousse and I was pleasantly surprised!

By first look the actual foundation is defiantly a mousse texture and it doesn't look that nice! I thought it looked thick and may be too pigmented but it actually looks very natural and smooth! I recommend this product, it is affordable and good quality. Personally I usually use Collection or Clarins if I'm going high end but as this product was so good I will look more into Maybelline!
Overall a great and natural looking product! Can be bought in Superdrug and Boots.
Hope you enjoyed this quick review,

Emma Watson UN Speech
Those are some of my views, feel free to comment yours as long as they are appropriate, Thank you,
Dear reader,
A few months ago Emma Watson (a huge idol of mine) became a UN Ambassador and founder of the HeforShe campaign. I have been a fan of Emma Watson ever since i started watching the Harry Potter films, Hermione is my favourite character, and i have always considered myself a feminist.
Many people associate feminism with hating men, not shaving, being manly and all sorts of ridiculous things. I have felt strongly about gender equality since i was quite young however nobody around voiced or seemed to share there views. So i sat quietly with my opinions and didn't talk about it.
So, when my idol spoke a speech about feminism I was extremely inspired and excited! Women and men should be equal, there is no reason that women shouldn't be treated as well as men. Many woman believe that feminism doesn't apply to them, but I believe it's simple, if you want gender equality and want to support women then YOU ARE A FEMINIST! It doesn't mean you are bitchy or hate men, women in some places are made to dress a certain way and act a certain way for men but really we should all be how we want, men or women.
What Emma Watson also said was how she became sexualised by the media at a young age. Why should there be images or half-naked woman to advertise products? Isn't that wrong? Women and girls should be free to look and wear what they want and I for one think it's disgusting that Emma was sexualised at such a young age, it ruins their childhoods.
